Herbert and Eleanor Bingham, of Dunnstown will mark their 40th wedding anniversary on April 18.
Eleanor is the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Shoemaker. Herb is the son of the late Max and Mable Bingham.
Both graduated from Lock Haven High School. Herb enlisted for four years in the U.S. Navy and then graduated from Williamsport Area Community College. They met at Piper Aircraft, where they were both employed.

They were married by the late Rev. Gerald Robinson on April 18, 1970, at the Dunnstown United Methodist Church. Following a honeymoon trip to Washington D.C., the couple settled in Dunnstown.
They have two daughters, Cathy (Paul) Rizzo of Charleton, and Lori (Mark) Stamm of Jersey Shore. They are blessed with four grandchildren, Joey and Gracie Rizzo and Megan and Alison Stamm.
Herb and Eleanor share a love of the outdoors, especially fishing and boating. They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and family.
The couple remains active members of the Dunnstown United Methodist Church, where Eleanor will observe for 50th year as a member this year. Both have been very involved in their church over the years and enjoy their church family and church activites.
Herb is a draftsman/construction estimator by trade and enjoys carpentry, bowling and hunting. Eleanor is a homemaker and enjoys working with preschool children at Building Blocks Daycare Center, where she is employed as a head teacher.
In honor of their anniversary, the couple is planning a trip to Tennessee.
