Churches to gather for concert
CLINTONDALE - Clintondale and Lamar United Methodist churches will gather for a combined service tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. at Clintondale Church. The praise group Trinity will present a concert, and afterward, the Lamar Circle of Christian Women will serve a brunch in the church annex.
Both churches will observe the "Souper Bowl of Caring" on Sunday, Feb. 6. Bring cans of soup or a monetary donation to help fight hunger in local communities.
Howard church to help needy
HOWARD - Howard Christian Church will collect canned soup and stew Sunday, Feb. 6 for the "Souper Bowl of Caring," to help the needy. The youth of the church also plan a "blitz" next Saturday to help fight hunger.
St. John's heads for 'Souper Bowl'
TYLERSVILLE - St. John's United Church of Christ will collect donations in the traditional pots and pans for the "Souper Bowl" on Sunday, Feb. 6. The contributions will be given to the Ronald McDonald House in Danville.
