LOCK HAVEN - Terry Banfill, a member of the U.S. Coast Guard, has received national recognition, having placed fourth in the nation for the the total number of vessel exams conducted in 2010. He inspected 706 vessels.
In addition to performing vessel safety checks, Banfill is a qualified instructor and a program visitor in the Recreational Boating Safety Program. He is a staff officer in the Coast Guard's Fifth Northern Region, Sayers Lake Flotilla.
