n The holiday weekend hymn sing at Sunset Memorial Church will be at 7 p.m. May 29.
n The Kettle Creek Community Club met last Monday evening with 56 persons attending. We enjoyed having members of the Rotary with us. Anna Smith thanked the club for having them.
I was recognized as the oldest mother present. We also honored the oldest father present, Ray Rathmell, retired high school principal. We each received a gift.
Lee Krauss mentioned a program on water testing.
Patrick Intallura and Charlie LeFort presented a program with their puppets. Billy LeFort also had a part in this. They were very good; it was an amazing program. A donation was given to the boys to help with their trip to Arizona.
There will be no June meeting because the Cross Fork Snake Hunt will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26 and workers are needed to help get things ready. So if you have some spare time, call the Kettle Creek Hose Co. and find out where you can help.
n Joyce and Bill Justice, and Tom and Alice Ransdorf attended the 99th annual convention of the Clinton County Association of Township Officers, Saturday, May 14.
n Sixty ballots were cast at Leidy Township on Tuesday. Ed Halerz was the first voter and Lenore Pringle was the last. Serving on the election board was Donna Berry of Cross Fork, Shirley Cross, Jane Ross and Pat Sowers.
n The annual service at New Maple Grove Chapel has been set for June 5 at 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
n Henry, Dean, Ann and I enjoyed dinner and a time of fellowship with Zeke, Marlene and Ed Horkey on Sunday, May 15. Henry left for his home in Mt. Joy the following day.
n Susie Clemmer attended a dance recital at Williamsport on Saturday, May 14. Granddaughter Mckenzie Wagner was one of the participants.
n Randy and Dodie Sweitzer of Genesee and Ed, Mika, Lydia and Lacy of the York area visited Dawn, Roy and Bob during that weekend.
n Welcome back to Carol Stocker who recently returned from Arizona.
