When kids get together to play baseball - under the sponsorship of Little League Baseball - it really has a special place in our hearts because the birthplace of Little League is just up the road.
So it is with great pride that we recognize the Keystone Little League All-Stars who were crowned Major Division (11 and 12-year-olds) champions of Pennsylvania on Saturday night after a hard-fought victory.
But it's not just because of winning.
What we see in these kids is what their parents have taught them: Play hard, do your best and, most of all, be a good sport.
Keystone certainly has displayed good sportsmanship throughout its road to Bristol, Conn., for Little League's Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament.
Behind every good player is a good parent, coach, mentor or guardian.
Sure, it's not easy to win; but it is even harder to be a good, respectful winner.
We think that is why this community is rallying so much behind this team - not just because they worked so hard to win the state title, but they're good kids.
On behalf of our readers, here's wishing Keystone Little League the best at the regional tournament in Bristol.
Play hard ... and do your best!
