South Hills student, Danielle Cherry Meadows, of Pleasant Gap, was recently awarded a prestigious scholarship by the American Society of Echocardiography. ASE is the largest international professional organization for cardiac imaging, and is comprised of physicians, cardiac sonographers, nurses and scientists committed to excellence in cardiovascular ultrasound.
Meadows, a second year dean's list student at South Hills School of Business & Technology in State College, has been receiving specialized cardiac training in the school's Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
She is working on her internship in the Heart & Vascular Lab at Hershey Medical Center.

David M. Abbott
David M.Abbott, son of James and Jane Abbot of Rebersburg, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester at Liberty University, Lynchburg, Va. He is majoring in Biblical Studies and Youth Ministry.
David is the grandson of Mrs. Jean Abbott and the late H. Edward Abbott of Rebersburg, and the late Lyman and the late Shirley Baker of Lock Haven.
Kayla Kerstetter of Salona has been named to the dean's list ata Delaware Valley College for the fall 2011 semester. She is a agraduatea of Central Mountain High School.
