Bill Kunes will be the guest of honor at an open house Sunday, Feb. 12, to celebrate his 90th birthday. Everyone is invited to wish him well at the celebration at 1 p.m. Sunday at the social hall of Beech Creek-Blanchard Fire Co. where he is a charter member.
"A Marine all the way," Kunes is a World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion and Liberty Baptist Church. He is a lifelong resident of Beech Creek.
He and his wife, the former Vivian Fravel, raised six children, one boy and five girls, and have 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
