I'm sorry it has taken so long, but it has been hard for me and my son-in-law Edward Conklin to write. I have lost two great children in six months time. My daughter Lila Smith Conklin passed away in June after a lengthy illness at John Hopkins Hospital.We want to THANK everyone for their prayers and cards .... Castanea church and pastors... everyone who had a part in her service and the great ladies who served a nice lunch.
In December I lost my youngest son, Jared Smith, to thyroid cancer at Mt. Nittany Hospital. I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all your prayer chains in our local churches, cards, food, flowers, Pastor Allen of the Beech Creek Wesleyan Church and the many friends who gave donations to the American Cancer Society.

I would like to sincerely THANK the person who turned my handbag into Wal-Mart on Valentines Day. I left it in my shopping cart and did not realize it until I had left the parking lot.
