APPLAUSE for additional supporters of the Clinton County's Mardi Gras Ball goes to Bob Larsen, as his beads were a great hit, and Ron Kodish, whose generosity was much appreciated.
Although it's still two weeks until American Cancer Society Daffodil Days, there are already many people to THANK here in Clinton County. First and foremost, we want to thank everyone at Bald Eagle Beer Distributor on Hogan Boulevard. Once again, it has graciously allowed the Daffodil Committee to use its walk-in cooler to store thousands of daffodils. We couldn't do it without them! We would also like to applaud Weis Markets and Wal-Mart for providing the bags we use to pack and deliver daffodils. We also want to express our appreciation to some of the businesses and organizations that will be participating in Clinton County Daffodil Days for the first time, such as the Clinton County Community Center and Save-A-Lot store at Clinton Plaza, Mackeyville post office and Denny's Restaurant at the Flying J Travel Plaza. We've begun receiving some large daffodil orders and want to thank Nancie English and everyone at Lock Haven Hospital for their tremendous order. We also want to applaud Arnie Burrows and everyone at Norfolk Southern for their biggest order to date. Another long-time volunteer with a large order is Steve Hinman from the Clinton County Courthouse. Special thanks to Steve for his many years of service and his commitment to Daffodil Days. We appreciate the work done by these volunteers and all of the businesses, organizations and individuals who make Daffodil Days a success.
