LOCK HAVEN - Leadership Clinton County is accepting applications until July 1 for its innovative training program.
Leadership Clinton County is designed to strengthen its participants by helping them recognize their leadership potential and identify ways they may use their abilities to create a better future for their community.
Through a series of sessions, and using the community as its classroom, participants exchange ideas and information with established leaders and experts from many fields. Future leaders gain first-hand experience about critical issues as they develop the skills necessary to become an effective leader.
Many people want to improve their community/work environment in some way, but are unaware of their capacity to make a positive impact or how they may be most effective. Leadership Clinton County will provide the opportunities for individuals to develop a network with other leaders to help them in their current and future roles. Participants will explore various issues, institutions and leadership styles. They will develop the skills and knowledge to become leaders in a way that fits with their own interests and personalities.
This nine-month comprehensive leadership development program is designed for any adult living or working in Clinton County. Sessions typically run once a month from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Leadership Clinton County tuition is $600 per person, which covers materials, lodging when needed and all meals. Partial scholarships are available for those in need. Applications are due no later than July 1. Applying early is encouraged.
