Learn about geothermal heating and cooling, solar hot water heat generation, rainwater harvesting, native habitat restoration and the use of rain gardens during this behind the scenes visit.

The Butterfly Guy - Rick Mikula

A Project Learning Tree seminar
This will be open to educators in the IU 17, (Blast), IU 9 (Seneca Highlands), IU 10 (Central), and IU 16 (Central Susquehanna), geographical areas who teach at grade levels K - 8.
Participants who complete the seminar will receive the Project Learning Tree activity guide and other related materials. Participants will also receive 6.0 hours for Act 48.
There is a $15.00 fee for this seminar, and pre-registration is required. The minimum registration for this seminar is 10, and the maximum is 15.
Registration is now open, on a first-come, first- served basis. Participants should dress for the outdoors and bring a bag lunch.
Sinnemahoning
AUSTIN - Come to Sinnemahoning State Park and enjoy the following activities. The park is surrounded by Elk State Forest and is located in Austin, Cameron County. For more information on the following events, contact park naturalist Jackie Flynn or Janet Colwell at (814) 647-8401.
R.B. Winter
MIFFLINBURG - The following activities will take place at R.B. Winter State Park. For more information, call Environmental Education Specialist MaryAnn Bierly at (570) 966-1455. Most programs are free unless an equipment rental fee is specified.

RENOVO - All programs at Kettle Creek will begin at the Nature Center in the lower campground, unless otherwise noted. All ages are welcome (except those listed as age specific). Parents, please accompany children under 10 to share the fun. On hikes, insect repellent is suggested. Ole Bull
CROSS FORK - All programs at Ole Bull will begin at the amphitheater unless otherwise noted. All ages are welcome (except those listed as age specific).
