The Express

Salvation Army to have guests

LOCK HAVEN - The Salvation Army, 119 E. Church St., will celebrate Palm Sunday tomorrow at 10:45 a.m. with guests Majors Sid and Betty Anderson.

Betty is a native of Lock Haven. She and her husband have served in appointments around the Salvation Army territory including divisional headquarters and as "divisional evangelist."

Worship will include the citadel's brass band, sacred dance, timbrels, singing, preaching God's word and distribution of palms.

Great Day of Easter music

LOCK HAVEN - First Church of Christ invites everyone to the Great Day of Easter Music tomorrow. The first service at 9 a.m. also will include Part 1 of the children's program with the second part being presented on Easter. A second service also is offered, at 10:30 a.m.

Children, youth to give program

BEECH CREEK - The children and youth of Beech Creek Wesleyan Church will present "The Joy of Easter" during the 9 a.m. service tomorrow, including musical selections and Easter recitations. The new church building is at 217 Main St.

St. Luke's plans special morning

FLEMINGTON - Worship at St. Luke's United Church of Christ will move back into the sanctuary on Palm Sunday tomorrow for the 10:45 a.m. service.

Also, the Supper Table program at the church will be held at 5:30 p.m. April 11.

Youth breakfast in Centre Hall

CENTRE HALL - Trinity United Church of Christ will host the Northern Association's annual youth breakfast on Good Friday, April 6, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., for young people in grades 3 through 12.

Trinity offers Easter lunch

JERSEY SHORE - The Second Sunday Supper at Trinity Episcopal Church falls on Easter this month, and the free luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. will be a holiday dinner.
