Pappy Decker of South Renovo is preparing to drop off tens of thousands of soda can tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Danville. Pappy made a similar donation of tabs in 2006 and was given a certificate of appreciation from the RMH which he proudly displays at his home. Every few weeks Decker makes a round trip to Brownie’s Mountain Tavern near Seven Mountains to receive the bulk of his collection, but others contribute to the round-up as well. Even though he made a large donation in 2006, Pappy figures he has had some of these tabs for more than 10 years. Decker is a member of the VFW and a veteran of the Korean War.
