AVIS - An apparent telephoned threat resulted in a large police presence Monday afternoon at Jersey Shore Medical Associates, 3001 Woodward Ave., Pine Creek Township.

The Clinton County Communications Center received a call at 1:37 p.m. Monday stating that a caller was going to "blow up the building."

Upon receiving the report, state police at Lamar notified Pine Creek Township Police.

Both departments responded to the facility along Route 150 near Avis where Dr. Carmen Spinney practices.

At 3:30 p.m. several state police cruisers, along with Pine Township's police vehicle, were still parked along the highway near the physician's office.

The outcome of the incident was not known this morning. Phone calls to Pine Creek Police and JS Medical Associates were not returned by press time today.
