What I believe

April 18, 2012
ART GRAY - Lock Haven , The Express

Because the Obama/Casey solutions are just not working, on April 24, I intend to vote for Sam Rohrer, Republican candidate for U. S. Senate. Of the five candidates running for Bob Casey, Jr.'s seat, I agree the most with former state Rep. Sam Rohrer and his stance on important issues such as jobs and economy, education and healthcare reform.

Sam Rohrer believes that high unemployment, foreclosures and inflation are only symptoms of a more profound problem that the recession plaguing the American economy today is primarily the result of failed and constitutionally unauthorized Congressional laws, Presidential policies and Executive orders. He believes our economic conditions will improve only when the role of the federal government is dramatically reduced, when federal taxes on job creators are eliminated, when unconstitutional legislation (like ObamaCare) is rescinded, and when oppressive regulations are eliminated.

Mr. Rohrer believes that educational decisions are best made as locally as possible. The closer education is linked to direct parental involvement, the more effective it will be. He has actively opposed all intervention by the federal government in educational matters as a dangerous attempt to standardize decisions by bureaucrats thousands of miles away from parents.

Sam's commitment to advancing education was evident when he wrote the standard-setting EITC (Educational Investment Tax Credit) law, which encourages businesses to contribute toward private and public school scholarships for children of families with financial needs.

Sam Rohrer believes that a centralized system of health care is dangerous, costly, and unsustainable, which is why he believes that ObamaCare must be totally repealed. Sam has fought for free-market solutions as Individual Health Savings Accounts, shopping for health insurance across state lines, and medical malpractice reform.

Sam believes that the confidentiality of health care information must be protected, and that the federal government's role in healthcare must be dramatically reduced.

I firmly believe Sam Rohrer is the best choice to represent us in Washington. Please join me in voting for Sam Rohrer on April 24!
