Landlords get ready

April 25, 2012
DEBBY ELY - Jersey Shore , The Express

The gas companies are downsizing in Lycoming County at an alarming rate due to record low natural gas prices. So, all the greedy landlords need to be prepared for a mass exodus of the tenants they have been raping for the last two years.

I have moved around the country with the gas industry and, honestly, I have never encountered such greed. Rentals here are of some of the lowest quality at outrageous prices. I hope you made enough to last another two years. The market is not going to trend in the favor of this area until at least 2014.

I thought this area was beautiful until I met the people who rented homes. I don't know why anyone would want to stay and that is why we (gasfield workers) are leaving so quickly and without regret.

Keep your run-down, moldy basements, three bedroom, two bathroom homes that you try to charge us $1,500 to $2,400 a month. We prefer to drive two hours to work and spend our money in the areas that appreciate the business.
