Bellefonte ‘Poker Walk’ planned

April 26, 2012
The Express
The annual “Poker Walk” in Bellefonte will take place Saturday, May 12 from 2 to 7 p.m., beginning and ending at the Moose Lodge. Walkers will pick up a playing card at designated sites along the way and hope to assemble a winning poker hand. All proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project and Pets Come First. The registration fee is $5 per participant, and everyone is asked to bring a non-perishable food item or a new book to be donated to the Bellefonte Food Bank and the local library. The Bellefonte Moose continues to take the lead in the planning of the annual event. Other participating clubs and organizations are Elks Lodge No. 1094, the Eagles, Undine Fire Co., Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, all of Bellefonte. Some of the planners are, from left, in front: Denise Zelznick, Rick Zerby and Paul Witmer; and in back: Edward Evock, Bill Edmiston, Dale Moore and Dick Mulfinger. For more information, contact any of the sponsoring organizations or clubs.
