Motorcyclist killed in Centre crash

RUNVILLE - A Julian man driving his motorcycle at a high rate of speed without a helmet was killed after he crashed on Runville Road, Boggs Township, Centre County, Thursday, Tpr. Lucas R. Rankin of state police at Rockview said.

Bryan J. Blair, 32, was driving his 1984 Honda Magna south on Runville Road at around 3:14 p.m., when he passed another motorcycle at a high rate of speed near Thomas Hill Road, police said. He then failed to negotiate a right curve and lost control, police said.

Blair, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his vehicle and slid into a small stream. The motorcycle followed and came to rest on top of him, police said.

Blair was pronounced dead at the scene by Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers, police said.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Milesburg Fire Company, Bellefonte EMS and Rich's Towing.
