Surrounded by her family, Romayne E. Becken-baugh, 86, formerly of Rebersburg, departed from this life at Centre Crest on April 27, 2012.
Born on Oct. 10, 1925 in Bower Hollow near Aaronsburg, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Lottie Leitzell Stover.
On Dec. 10, 1943, Romayne married Harold J. Beckenbaugh, who preceded her in death on March 27, 2006. Romayne is survived by her children, Carolyn Lohr (Allen) of Aaronsburg and Dennis Beckenbaugh (Patricia) of Millheim; five grandchildren, Melody Morgan (William), Rodney Lohr, Danette Strouse (Kenny), Brian Beckenbaugh (Daniela) and Daniel Beckenbaugh (Michelle); eight great grandchildren, Brianna, Caitlin, Ciara, Olivia, Abby, Tori, Emma and Lena, and two step great grandchildren, Alex and Logan.

Romayne is the last of her family having been preceded in death by her brothers, George, Paul, Nile, Luther and Earl Stover, and sisters, Nora Klomhaus and Martha Eisenhuth.
Romayne was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Rebersburg.
She retired from Laurelton State Hospital as an aide with 32 years of service.
Playing cards, watching the Price is Right and Wheel of Fortune were some of the things Romayne enjoyed. She enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially baseball and her favorite team, the Atlanta Braves.
Romayne was an avid bingo player, driving to play all over the county with friend Steve Hettinger. Hopefully there is bingo in heaven, as Romayne will be first in line to play.
Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Rebersburg with Pastor Jean Ward officiating.
Romayne will be laid to rest in Emmanuel United Methodist Cemetery in Rebersburg.
