Grace S. Gentzel, 84, of Rebersburg, passed from this life on Monday, April 30, 2012 at The Gatehouse in Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport. Grace, a daughter of the late Floyd W. and Minnie Uhl Snavely, was born on Jan. 2, 1928 in Haines Twp.
On March 25, 1946, Grace married Charles Gentzel, who preceded her in death on March 1, 1988.
Grace and Charles farmed for many years in Miles Twp. She was also employed at the bra factory in Millheim.
Grace was a member of the United Methodist Church in Madisonburg. In her spare time she enjoyed doing plastic canvas needlework.
Grace is survived by three daughters, Nancy L. Gentzel-Burris of Bellefonte, Susan J. Miller of Mill Hall and Doris M. Gentzel of Rebersburg; siblings, Miriam Copenhaver, Evelyn Williams and William Snavely; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim from 10 a.m. to noon. The funeral will follow at noon with Pastor Jean Ward officiating. Grace will be laid to rest in West Central Cemetery in Madisonburg.
