John A. Kauffman, 92, husband of the late Annie K. Kauffman of 61 Kauffman Lane, Eastville, Pa., passed away at home on Sunday, April 29, 2012.
Born in Bird-In-Hand, Pa., on March 29, 1920, he was the son of the late John A. and Fannie (Petersheim) Kauffman.
He is survived by four sons, Daniel S. (Lizzie) Kauffman, Levi P. (Fannie) Kauffman, John S. (Sarah) Kauffman and Sam S. (Fannie) Kauffman, all of Loganton; eight daughters, Katie (Ben) Esh, Levina (Samuel) Stoltzfus, Annie (John) Esh, Lydia (Amos) Fisher, and Rachel (John) Fisher, all of Loganton, Lizzie (Sam) Fisher of Heggerstown, Ind., Fannie (Joseph) Lapp and Emma (Isaac) Lapp of Strasburg; a brother, Daniel P. Kauffman of Honey Brook; two sisters Rachel Schrock of Park County, Ind., and Mary Ebersol of Cambridge, Pa.; 93 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will take place at 61 Kauffman Lane, Eastville, Pa. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 9 a.m. (Standard Time). A visitation will be held from the time of this notice until Tuesday at 9 p.m. (Standard Time) Interment will be held in the Esh Amish Cemetery, Loganton.
