May 2, 2012
The Express
The newly-chartered Kiwanis Club of Bald Eagle and Nittany Valleys recently held a canned food and soft goods drive in the Lamar and Beech Creek areas. All proceeds benefited the Lock Haven Area Salvation Army, which for the month of April is receiving matching funds for all donations. From left are Club President Grace Keller; Matt Wise, vice president; Bill Henning; Draven Barner, a friend of Kiwanis and grandson of members Carol and Barry Barner; Carol Barner; President-elect Rick Noll (far back); Barry Barner and Tim Meyers. The club is a 321 Kiwanis Club — three hours of service, two hours of social activities, one hour of business each month. It meets the first Wednesday at the Mill Hall United Methodist Church and will host a charter night May 23. Anyone wishing to join or who would like more information may contact Wise at or 660-2540.
