LOCK HAVEN - Summer's almost here and the Lock Haven Area YMCA is offering two exciting summer camps for pre-teens and early teens.
Back by popular demand, Adventure Camp is full of exciting trips like kayaking, hiking, archery and much more. It runs every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from June 19 through Aug. 23. The camp is for ages 11-14. The cost is $50 per week.
Registration for all weeks is due by June 1.
New this summer, the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the YMCA are joining for an extreme adventure camp with lots of great outdoor excursions for teens. The DCNR Outdoor Excursion Camp consists of four days filled with exciting activities like biking, kayaking, fly-fishing, backpacking, GPS instruction and more. It runs from July 17-20 for ages 13 to 15. The cost is $40 for all four days for those who sign up by May 31 and $50 after that. Participants must be able to attend the entire week.
