The Keystone Central School District honored a group of local veterans at a recent school board meeting. Superintendent Kelly Hastings gave the colorguard, which presents the colors at home sporting events, with certificates of appreciation. “You make a difference,” Hastings said, thanking them for service to their country and their community. She also thanked Sgt. Terry Banfill for his visits to Woodward and Dickey elementary schools teaching youngsters about the American flag and what it means to be an American. Members of the colorguard are Sgt. Bill Peck, Pvt. Don Hills and Pvt. Sheldon Helm and Sgt. Banfill. Pictured, from left, are Hills, Banfill, Hastings and Peck.
