Four involved in fight
MILL HALL - Four young men will be charged with disorderly conduct after a fight at around 9 p.m. Sunday on the street at 20 Girard St., Tpr. Christopher Wilson of state police at Lamar said. Robert Aungst, 18; Joshua Connelley, 23; Joseph Berry, 23, all of Mill Hall; and Bryce Allen, 19, of Blanchard, got into a fight with closed fist punches and swearing, police said.
Harassment by inmate
BELLEFONTE - A inmate at the Centre County Correctional Facility harassed and fought with with another prisoner Friday morning, Tpr. Leigh Barrows of the Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview said. The suspect, 20, of Three Springs, and the victim Paul William Witherite, 25, of Houtzdale, were watching television in a common area when they started making inappropriate comments to one another, police said.
The suspect took offense and struck the victim in the face, police said. The victim moved away from the suspect and into another area of the housing unit, and Witherite followed, continuing to push and shove the victim, police said. The suspect was ordered to go to his cell and the victim was taken for treatment of a minor injury, police said.
Hit-and-run
AVIS - Charges of leaving the scene of an accident are pending against William Phillips, 19, of Lititz, following a two-vehicle crash on Tiadaghton Avenue in Pine Creek Township, Tpr. Brian Kunes of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Phillips was driving his 1991 Honda Civic east and approaching the intersection of East Central Avenue when he failed to stop at the stop sign and crashed into a 1995 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Randall Smith, 44, of Jersey Shore, police said. Phillips then allegedly fled the scene on foot, police said.
Unauthorized use
BLANCHARD- Charges have been filed against a 24-year-old Lock Haven man for unauthorized use of four-wheelers, Friday at 7:30 pm., Tpr. Schmotzer of the Pennsylvania State Police at Rockview said. Somebody went to a house in the 200 block of Merrill Lane in Liberty Township and used two four-wheelers without the owner's permission, police said. The accused came home, caught the man and a friend on his vehicles and complained to police after he discovered both vehicles had been damaged, police said.
Thefts from vehicles
DUNNSTOWN - A Casio Commando cellphone valued at $200 was stolen from a vehicle Saturday morning at the Minit Mart, 25 Woodward Ave., Woodward Township police said. In a similar incident,two credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 233 Shirk Hollow Road before Tuesday, township police said. Also, Ricky and Sara Allen, of 105 S. Water St., reported to state police at Lamar someone stole seven pairs of sunglasses, valued at approximately $815 from their car between Friday at 2:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m., Tpr. Benjamin J. Campana said. The person also stole approximately $40 in change and two prescription medications, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 726-6000.
Pocketbook stolen
MILL HALL - June Ann Wagner, 61, of Jersey Shore, reported to state police at Lamar she left her pocketbook in a shopping cart in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 1:22 p.m. Sunday, Tpr. Homan said. A known person then took possession of the pocketbook and fled the scene, police said. Police said their investigation will continue.
Harassment charged
MILL HALL - A 14-year-old girl will be charged with harassment after she allegedly had a verbal argument with a 36-year-old female Sunday at 6:16 p.m., Tpr. Homan of state police at Lamar said. The juvenile then walked toward the victim and began striking her, police said.
Keys found
LOCK HAVEN - A set of keys was found at the Northwest Savings Bank, city police said. There was one Dodge key with remote and a house key. The owner can claim the property at the Lock Haven Police Department.
Underage drinking
LOCK HAVEN - Ryan Quick, 20, of Muncy was arrested for underage drinking and public intoxication Saturday, city police said. Police said Quick was seen lurking around vehicles in Mary's Alley and when police arrived he took off, but was stopped after a short pursuit and was found to be highly intoxicated.
Bike found
LOCK HAVEN - A red Bluegrass bicycle was found Sunday at 11 W. Clinton St., city police said. The owner can claim the property at the Lock Haven Police Department.
Simple assault
LOCK HAVEN - Sade Alise Caesar, 24, of 17 Spring St., Lock Haven was cited for simple assault Thursday, city police said. Police said Caesar entered a home at 200 block of West Church Street and assaulted a female victim, fracturing bones in the face.
Weapons stolen
LOCK HAVEN - A rifle and pistol were stolen from a parked truck Thursday along North Washington Street, city police said. The Smith and Wesson Sigma was valued at $369 and the Savage Axis rifle was valued at $600, police said.
