KC approves proposed $64.5 million budget

14 teachers cut, three buildings closed

RENOVO - The Keystone Central School Board adopted a proposed $64.5 million, no-tax-increase budget for the 2012-13 school year last night at Bucktail Area High School.

The vote was 8-1 with Steve Murray casting the sole dissenting vote.

Voting for the fiscal package were Corey Aungst, James Heiney, James Knauff, Charles Rosamilia, Thomas Shafer, Debra Smith and Board President Jack Peters.

Wayne Koch was absent.

In opposition to the budget, Murray used a visual aid to underline his disagreement a small stack of coins amounting to 91 cents.
