‘Suspicious’ men try to gain entry into area home

LOCK HAVEN - Wooward Township police are warning area residents of a possible scam that occurred in the area of Cedar Crest Drive on Thursday.

Two suspicious males tried to get a homeowner to allow them to enter the residence, police said.

The two males, wearing matching blue "Sudsie's Pool & Spa" T-shirts, arrived at the house and told the homeowner they were there to "clean the spa," police said.

Even after the homeowner told them that nobody requested that service, the men kept insisting they be allowed to come into the house to clean the spa, police said.

When the homeowner continued to refuse entry, the two men asked to be allowed to use the phone, which the homeowner also refused. Both men left on foot, police said.

The men are described as white males, one in his late 20s with reddish hair and the other in his early 30s with darker hair.

Township police remind area residents not to allow anybody into their home without a valid reason and appropriate identification, and to call police immediately if they see suspicious persons in their neighborhood.
