Genevieve S. Grieb, 77, of 6 Caroline St., Castanea, died May 13, 2012 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center
Born May 6, 1935 in Lamar Township, she was a daughter of the late Harry R. and Gertrude T. Duck Strouse.
On Aug. 15, 1957 in Lock Haven, she married Boyd E. Grieb, who survives at home.
Genevieve was a homemaker, who had also worked at Woolrich Woolen Mills and W.T. Grant Department Store.
She was a 1954 graduate of the Lock Haven High School.
Genevieve enjoyed reading, word puzzles, taking care of her birds, watching TV and participating in Silver Sneakers.
She is survived by a son, Robert E. (Stephanie) Grieb of Mill Hall; a daughter, Terry Ann (William) Phoenix, Grantville; two sisters, Clara E. Mercer of Hillsboro, Ore., and Pauline E. White of Jersey Shore; and three grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a half-brother, Jay George Strouse
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall. Rev. Maurice Frontz III, STS, will officiate. Internment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Mill Hall. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association through the funeral home.
