Drunk driving alleged
JERSEY SHORE - John English, 51, of 5645 N. Route 44 Highway, Jersey Shore, was arrested for driving while intoxicated for a March 31 incident in Cummings Township, Tpr. Travis Pena of the Pennsylvania State Police at Montoursville said.
Police said English was swerving on the road when he was stopped by police and found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Water tank stolen
JERSEY SHORE - A 350-gallon water tank owned by Martin D. Hanner, 54, of Jersey Shore, was stolen Monday from a river lot along Anters Lane in Woodward Township, Tpr. Daniel Kozak of the Pennsylvania State Police at Montoursville said.
Police said the white, plastic tank was valued at about $75.
Mailbox vandalism
JERSEY SHORE - Cory Lee Bassler, 37, of Williamsport, told state police at Montoursville somebody placed fireworks inside his mailbox Sunday evening along Woodward Street in Woodward Township.
Tpr. Matthew Lada said the explosion charred the interior of the box.
Rocking chairs stolen
JERSEY SHORE - Two rocking chairs and some mulch were stolen Monday from Eisley's Wood Products, 9845 Route 220, Piatt Township, Tpr. Sean A. Cooney of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.
Police are continuing the investigation.
Disorderly conduct
DUNNSTOWN - Gregory Packech was charged with disorderly conduct after he defecated on the lawn of 38 Church St., Dunnstown, at 9:34 a.m. Thursday, Woodward Township Police report.
Two vehicle crash
BELLEFONTE - Vehicles operated by Andrae J. Henry, 22, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Gregory A. Hoffman, 52, of Howard, collided on Interstate 80 in Boggs Township, Centre County, at 6:36 p.m. Wednesday, state police at Rockview reported.
Neither driver was injured, police said.
Church burglarized
CENTRE HALL - State police at Rockview are investigating a burglary at the Grace United Methodist Church, South Pennsylvania Avenue, Centre Hall, between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said unknown actor/actors gained entry to the church and removed over $5,000 worth of audio, recording and playing equipment.
Damaged railing
LOCK HAVEN-Someone damaged a railing at 208 Linden St. sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday, city police said.
Garage door damaged
LOCK HAVEN-Someone broke two garage door windows on the first block of West Main Street along Jordan's Alley sometime between Monday and Tuesday nights, with damage totaling $75, city police said.
Home burglarized
LOCK HAVEN-An unknown person burglarized a 43-year-old woman's house on the 300 block of East Main Street sometime in the past week, city police said. Two laptops, a Droid Razor cell phone, and a Kindle Fire Notebook were stolen, plus over $1,000, pushing her losses to approximately $2,335, police said.
Caught with 25 lbs marijuana
MILESBURG-When Charlton Ferguson, 39, of Hartford, Conn., was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 80 on Thursday, state police at Rockview discovered 25 pounds of marijuana, police said.
When the troopers observed several indicators of criminal activity, they deployed Tom, the State Police Drug Detection K9, whose behavior indicated the presence of drugs, police said.
After a search warrant was obtained, they found the large U-Haul box in the trunk which contained the marijuana, police said.
Ferguson was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, police said.
MILHEIM-Someone stole a Kenwood Head Unit valued at $700 from Oasis Car Care, 169 W. Main St. between May 5 and May 13, state police at Rockview said.
