I am a concerned grandmother writing about the Keystone Central School Board closing the Sugar Valley Elementary School.
I don't believe you people are in your right mind.
If you would not have taken our high school just so you could have a new school over there (outside Mill Hall), this would not be happening now.
Just put yourself in our shoes.
How would you like your 5-year-old getting up at 6 a.m. so they could catch the bus at 7:15 a.m. - or earlier - and then travel 15 miles on busy Interstate 80 to get to school and not return home until 3:30 or 4 p.m.?
If they want to be in any extra activities, the students have to run back over to the school, or possibly stay there and then not get home until 8 p.m. or so.
Leave our young kids in their own town where they belong.
