Stella W. Kelley

Stella W. Kelley, 84, of 309 Wright St., Flemington, died May 23, 2012 at the Gatehouse Hospice at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport.

She was born Sept. 29, 1927 in Liberty Township to the late Foster E. and Grace Leitch Walker.

She married Harry R. Kelley on Sept. 8, 1948, who died July 27, 1993.

Stella was a 1945 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

Early in her life, Stella worked at Sylvania Electric and Clinton Paper Co. She retired in June 1986 after 20 years as a cook in the Keystone Central School District.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Flemington, where she was a Sunday School teacher and secretary, and worked with Vacation Bible School for many years.

Stella was a den mother for the Cub Scouts and a cook for the Boy Scouts at Camp Kline from 1969 to 1971.

In addition to her many volunteer activities, she enjoyed word puzzles, reading and crafts.

She is survived by one son, Eugene R. (Sally) Kelley, of Torbet Village, Jersey Shore; and one grandson, Asa E. Kelley, of Bloomsburg.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Relda Smith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, Pa. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Memorial contributions may be made to Flemington First Church of Christ Sunday School Fund or the Pine Creek Preservation Association through the funeral home.

Arrangements are entrusted to Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall.
