LOCK HAVEN - Eleven young people joined Covenant United Methodist Church, with a 12th to be taken into membership on June 3.
The 12-year-olds were welcomed into membership on Heritage Sunday, May 20, during a service when Rev. Nancy Lee Goff also recognized the church's 50-year members.
The confirmation class lead the service at the church at 44 W. Main St.
Tori May lead the call to worship, Christian Girton gave the gathering prayer, and Karissa Lucas, Caroline Rublein and Henry Rublein read Scripture.
Tyler Adair spoke about Heritage Sunday, inviting the congregation to browse displays of church history that had been created for the special day.
Kyler Lucas spoke about the fact that May 20 also is Ascension Sunday.
Madison Brown presented a lyrical dance to "The Rose," and the class sang "You Are Worthy of my Praise" accompanied by Henry Rublein on violin.
Maegan Miller gave the morning message, "Fruits of the Spirit," which she had written.
Barry Jones lead the pastoral prayer and the Lord's Prayer, and Madison lead the prayer of thanksgiving.
The confirmands conducted projects, served during worship, and attended the special event "Confir-Mania" while learning about the church.
