FLEMINGTON - The body of a young man was found on the ground at the rear of 206 Woods Ave. in Flemington before noon Friday, prompting a response by police investigators, the coroner and Clinton County District Attorney Mike Salisbury.
"A body was found at 206 Woods Avenue, unresponsive," Salisbury told The Express on Friday afternoon "We located a body in the rear yard. State police are investigating.
"Until the investigation is complete, we cannot classify this as either a suspicious or non-suspicious death," he continued. "But, anytime you have a young white male die, it causes us every concern to investigate it properly."
Salisbury said an autopsy was scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, though no results were expected by press time last night.
As of late Friday afternoon, Salisbury would not release the name of the victim pending notification of family members.
