LOGANTON - The Mercy Road Team of Gospel Echoes will be in concert at Loganton Wesleyan Church at 7 p.m. Sunday, and the public is invited.
Jon and Kathleen Sommers travel with their two children, Alexis and Tyler, and two young musicians, Adam Leigh and Dustin Miller. The special presentation will include gospel music, testimonies, and a short video of the team's work in prisons. Refreshments will follow.
The team travels full time, and its primary focus is reaching out to prison inmates through music and a literature program. Since 1976, Gospel Echoes has shared the Good News by sending teams into prisons. Today the ministry reaches into more than 575 prisons across the United States and Canada, and in 2011, held more than 331 prison services.
