Urgent issue at Central Mountain: We are going to be losing a great teacher in the arts education area, Mr. Scott Frazier.
This is certainly a blow after the sweep at the Ray of Light Awards (local awards for musical theater in highs schools) a few weeks prior. Not only are we losing an amazing mentor, but a big part in the arts education, choir.
The choir and Mr. Scott Frazier are a big reason most of us come to and stay in school. Please help us save the music and art programs.
Today I walked around to get people to sign our petition for the board meeting June 7 at 6 p.m. I heard stories of former students of Mr. Frazier's, of how he is the reason they went on to study music in college.
(Editor's Note: It is unclear as to what classes Scott Frazier will teach in the fall as Keystone Central School District prepares for "Bid Day" this Thursday, an annual day when unionized teachers are assigned classrooms/teaching responsibilities for the next school year.)
