Announcement has been made of the engagement of Michelle Lynne Royer, daughter of David and Lori Royer of Linden, to Joshua Ray Schoonover, son of Raymond and Cheryl Schoonover of Lock Haven.
Michelle is a 2006 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education from Lock Haven University in 2010. She is employed as a substitute teacher for area school districts. She is also employed as a part-time sales associate at the Woolrich Outlet Store, Woolrich.
Joshua graduated from Central Mountain High School, Mill Hall, in 2007. He is employed by Lycoming Valley Railroad as an engineer-trainsman.

The couple is planning a wedding Aug. 4, 2012 at Lycoming Christian Church of Linden.
