Margaret Joan Frazier Nuber, 78, passed away on Nov. 13, 2011 in Venice, Fla.

She was the daughter of the late Lulu Pearl and Charles Kryder Frazier and was born on Oct. 10, 1933 in Nittany, Pa.

Joanne "Jo" graduated from Lock Haven High School, representing the school in the 1950 Flaming Foliage Festival and was awarded a scholarship to State Teacher's College. She received her B.A. and Masters in Education from the University of Miami.

Joanne was married to the late Jack Nuber and lived in Ft. Myers, Fla. for the past 18 years. She was an elementary school teacher for nearly 20 years and continued teaching through volunteer work.

She was an avid reader, golfer, tennis player, enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong with friends, spending time outdoors in the Florida sun and traveling to visit family and friends.

Joanne is survived by her sister, Catherine Louise Frazier; four children, Deborah (and her husband) Jeffrey Kaminske, Diane Holcomb, Amy Bonnert and Angela Bonnert (and partner) Jon Simpson; stepchildren Jack (and his wife) Susan Nuber and Diane Golden; and three grandchildren Victoria (and her husband) Nate Grawey, Jessica Kaminske and Natalie Kaminske.

She was preceded in death by her sister Jeanne Frazier and brother Charles Frazier.

A funeral service will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lock Haven, Pa. today at 2 p.m.
