SALONA - A detour will begin Monday for the Dry Run Bridge job on Route 477 near here.
Work has been underway since early April to replace the 75-year-old bridge, which spans Dry Run in Lamar Township, about a half mile east of Salona. Replacing the old bridge will allow PennDOT to remove it from the list of structurally deficient bridges in Clinton County.
The seven-mile detour uses Route 477, Route 220, and Route 2008 (Auction Road). The detour will be in place through completion of the project in early November.
Other work on the bridge includes waterline relocation, guide rail and drainage updates, paving of approaches and miscellaneous construction.
All work is weather and schedule dependent. LTT Trucking of North Bend is the contractor on this $1 million project.
Drivers are reminded to be cautious in all work zones, follow detour signs, and always buckle up.
