Janie Marie (Killinger) Smith, 87, of Linden, died on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at her residence.
She was married to the late Frank A. Smith who had died in 1997. They were married for more than 33 years until his death.
She was born Feb. 2, 1925 in Lock Haven and was the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy (Bowers) Killinger.
She worked as a machine operator with Sylvania in Mill Hall and retired in 1958 after 20 years of service, then she owned and operated J.M. Ceramics on Market Street until 1972.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by one brother, Walter Killinger of Marlington, W.Va., and one sister, Evana Barnhart of Mill Hall, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Malcolm and Frank Killinger.
In keeping with Janie's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
In lieu of flowers, one may donate to a charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are being handled by Allen and Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport.
