Lamar Township deals with growing pains

June 12, 2012
By JIM RUNKLE (jrunkle@lockhaven.com) , The Express

ROTE - Lamar Township is dealing with some growing pains ... or opportunities ... these days, a great number of which were discussed at this week's meeting of the Supervisors.

From the pending construction of a major interchange, to expansion of a local auto auction, to the pending construction of a state police barracks, to the ongoing construction project at a nearby business park, to headaches with a local rock quarry's dust problems, there appears to be loads of activity this summer.

Also discussed, briefly, was a possible upgrade to the status of the township itself, from second grade to first grade.

See tomorrow's print edition of The Express for the full story.
