The Express

Van stolen

BEECH CREEK - A 2000 Ford Windstar van was stolen Monday from the parking lot of YBC Beech Creek Manufacturing, 2109 Industrial Park Road, Tpr. A.M. Sheridan of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Police said the van was used as a "oversized load" escort vehicle and displayed signs for oversized loads. The van also contains a Citizens Band radio and showed the license plate FRP4273. Anybody with information is asked to contact police at 726-6000.

Burglary

CASTANEA - An attempted burglary occurred Tuesday at the home of Janice Rae Walizer, 31, of 119 E. Keller St., Castanea, Tpr. Timothy T. Wright of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Police said somebody tried to gain entry and damaged a door frame and glass panel in the process, but failed in the attempt.

Terroristic threats

WOOLRICH -Jason J. Smith, 33, of 1389 W. Cardinal Drive, was cited for harassment and terroristic threats Monday evening, Tpr. A.M. Sheridan of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Police said Smith ordered a pizza and when the delivery person arrived, Smith blatantly displayed a hand gun in effort to terrorize the delivery man.

Drunk driving alleged

CAMMAL - Mark William Asper, 47, of 11 Butterfly Lane, Lock Haven, was arrested for driving while intoxicated Tuesday evening at the 3700 Block of Route 414 in McHenry Township, Tpr. Jared King of the Pennsylvania State Police at Montoursville said. Police said Asper was involved in a crash at that location, showed signs of intoxication and was taken to Jersey Shore Hospital for a blood test.

Possible theft

PLEASANT GAP-A ring may have been stolen from a Pleasant Gap woman in late May, state police at Rockview said. Lacey Moore, 22, set her ring on a counter top at her residence while in the process of moving, but was unable to locate it upon completion of the move, police said.

One-vehicle crash

SNOW SHOE-A Drifting woman lost control of her vehicle Tuesday on Route 144, causing a one-car accident, state police at Rockview said. Keereea Veres, 21, was driving in a heavy downpour when she lost control of her 2004 Dodge Stratus, and struck a ditch; after impact, the Dodge overturned and stopped on its roof, police said. Veres was cited, police said, and neither her nor her passenger, Stephanie Rougeux, 22, of Kathaus, were not injured.
