Aggravated assault

LOCK HAVEN-A Lock Haven man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly assaulting his sister, city police said. Calvin Leroy Ward, 30, of 615 E. Bald Eagle St., Apartment 22, brandished a knife at his sister at the same address, resulting in cuts to her hands, police said. His sister claimed he also pushed her into a wall and pulled her by her hair, police said.

Rollover uproots trees

LOCK HAVEN-A pickup uprooted several trees May 30, city police said. Tyler Guerriero of Pearl Street was driving south on Susquehanna Avenue at 30 mph when he turned left onto West Water Street and hit the accelerator instead of the brakes, police said. He accelerated over the right curb onto the grass and sideswiped two trees, uprooting both and breaking the 2004 Chevrolet truck's right mirror, police said. The pickup then crossed both lanes of traffic, struck the north curb and rolled end over end, hitting two trees. The truck eventually landed on its right rear section and rolled back onto its wheels, police said, facing west. Guerriero had a minor scratch on his head, and he was wearing a seatbelt; the vehicle was disabled and was towed, police said.
