LOCK HAVEN - The all-new Bristell will make a special appearance at the 27th Annual Sentimental Journey to Cub Haven Fly-In today through Saturday in Lock Haven.
The new class of light sport airplane conceptualized by acclaimed airplane designer Milan Bristela, will pay homage to the original LSA the Piper J-3 on the aircraft's 75th anniversary.
This year's annual Sentimental Journey celebrates the Platinum Jubilee of the Piper J-3 on the very ground the world's first light sport aircraft was built.
"It is fitting that the next-generation LSA be there to celebrate so much history," said Barry Pruitt of Bristell USA, exclusive U.S. importer for the aircraft. "Witnessing the latest in aviation technology side-by-side with its ancestors will be something to see."
The Bristell debuted in North America in September, and rave reviews from aviation experts continue to mount. This month, the plane was featured in Plane and Pilot magazine as well as on the cover of Pilot UK magazine.
"The Bristell exemplifies attention to detail, from construction to airframe paint and trim, instrumentation and cockpit furnishings. This is no to-be-improved prototype, but a mature aircraft," Plane and Pilot magazine stated.
Bristela is the pioneer in light sport aviation behind such industry standards as the Piper Sport and the Evektor SportStar. With this next-generation airplane, he has re-imagined the light sport aircraft class, establishing an entirely new standard for comfort, performance and handling.
