The Express

Three-story fall, minor injuries

LOCK HAVEN-An unidentified man suffered minor injuries after he fell from three stories at this house at 53 N. Fairview St. just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

"He was lucky, very lucky," said Helen Katherman, who rents the house. "The workers were up there working on the roof and I heard a big thump out here," she said. "I saw he had three lacerations on his head, so I wrapped his head in a towel and put pressure on his head until the ambluance came. When I saw him, he was unconsious and his head was laying on a brick. He was lucky." Lock Haven EMS transported the man to Lock Haven Hospital for treatment of his injuries. City police investigated.

Pressure washer found

BELLEFONTE-The resident of 210 Walker Crossing, Bellefonte, found a pressure washer on his front porch on Monday at about 2:30 p.m., state police at Rockview said. Anyone with information or wishing to claim ownership contact PSP at Rockview (814) 355-7545.

Baskets stolen

JERSEY SHORE - Two hanging baskets were stolen from a front porch at the home of Edith Umstead,73, of Jersey Shore, Tpr. Joel Miles of the Pennsylvania State Police at Montoursville said. Police said the theft occurred last Wednesday or Thursday. Anybody with information is asked to call 368-5700.

Two-vehicle crash

JERSEY SHORE - A two-vehicle crash occurred Friday at 2:58 p.m. on Route 220 in Piatt Township, Tpr. Gary Beadle of the Pennsylvania State Police at Montoursville said. Police said Eric Marks, 40, of Orma, W.Va., was driving a 2011 Ford Power Stroke Super Duty north and Michael E. Lovett, 68, of Flemington, was driving a 2003 Toyota RAV4 south when Marks tried to turn left onto Route 287 and cut into the path of the Lovett vehicle. Police were assisted at the scene by members of the Jersey Shore Fire Company. There were no injuries, police said.

Teens cited

WOOLRICH - Two male teens, 17 and 16, were found intoxicated to the extent they needed treatment at Jersey Shore Hospital on Saturday, Tpr. Jared Homan of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Police said the two boys were located in the 1000 block of East Central Avenue in Pine Creek Township. Both were cited for underage drinking and public intoxication, police said.

Alcohol-related crash

FLEMINGTON - A three-vehicle crash occurred on Route 150 and High and Huston streets Sunday at 1:12 p.m., Tpr. Jared Homan of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Police said Jesse Arthur Dapp, 29, of Lock Haven was driving his 2004 Chevrolet Malibu south on Route 150 when his car rear-ended a stopped 1998 Chevrolet Blazer operated by Gary M. Weaver of Flemington. The Weaver vehicle was forced into a parked Dodge Ram, police said. After further investigation, Dapp was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, police said.

Truck stolen

LOGANTON - A navy blue 2002 Dodge Durango with registration HWE3697 was stolen late Saturday or early Sunday from the home of Migdalia Guerrero, 92 W. Main St., Loganton, Tpr. Shane Buffone of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Anybody with information about the theft is asked to call state police at 726-6000.

Shed door damaged

WOOLRICH -Robert J. Young Jr., 61, of Mill Hall, reported that a metal shed door at 1807 Island Road, Dunnstable Township, was vandalized late Saturday or early Sunday, Tpr. Shane Buffone of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Police said the individual damaged the shed and fled in an unknown manner.

Harassment charged

MILL HALL - Robert Jay Jeirles, 37, of Sugar Run Road, Mill Hall, was cited for four counts of harassment Sunday at the Mill Hall Park, Tpr. Jeffrey Hildebrand of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Police said Jeirles grabbed a 19-year-old Mill Hall woman by the arm and shoved her during a loud argument. His actions sparked a response from a male, 52, of Blanchard, woman, 32, of Lock Haven, and woman, 26, of Lock Haven, who came to the teen's assistance. When that occurred, police said, Jeirles took a threatening stance and verbally threatened the three would-be rescuers.

Truck crash

LOGANTON - Ricky Raulston, 58, of Plainview, Texas crashed his 2008 Peterbilt on Interstate80 in Greene Township Monday at 7:20 a.m., Tpr. David Kirkendall of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Police said Raulston was driving east and rounding a right curve when his rig traveled off the road, crashed into an embankment and jack-knifed before the truck flipped onto its side. Raulston suffered a moderate injury in the crash, police said.

Moderate injury

LAMAR - Ronald R. Tressler Jr., 29, of Lamar crashed his 2004 Chevrolet 1500 on the Cherry Run Road in Porter Township Sunday at 9:42 p.m., Tpr. David Kirkendall of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said. Tressler swerved to miss a deer, police said, and his vehicle skidded out of control, left the road and crashed into a utility pole before striking a large tree. The vehicle came to rest blocking both lanes of the road, police said. Tressler suffered a moderate injury in the crash, police said.

DUI alleged

WILLIAMSPORT - Two drivers were arrested in Lycoming County recently and charged with driving under the influence.

- Carl Samuel, 55, of 303 E. Central Ave, Avis, was stopped by Tiadaghton Valley Regional police in the 1100 Block of Allegheny Street in Jersey Shore on Feb. 21.

- Dennis A. Schlegel Jr., 45, of 6 Hopple Drive, Jersey Shore, was stopped by Williamsport police at Lloyd Street and Taylor Place on Jan. 4.

Theft from vehicle

LOCK HAVEN-Someone stole prescription medication from a black Jeep Wrangler outside 666 Frederick St. between June 13 and 18, city police said.

Car kicked

LOCK HAVEN-Someone apparently kicked a car causing a dent Monday on the 100 block of South Highland Street, city police said.

Possible DUI

LOCK HAVEN-Benjamin Anthony Goodwin, 21, of 229 High Road, Pottsville, was arrested for DUI when he was pulled over on West Water Street for a traffic violation Monday, city police said.

Hit parked car

LOCK HAVEN-Charles A. Newcomer Jr. of Lock Haven struck Elizabeth R. Pyfer's 2004 Buick LaSabre parked on East Main Street in front of Dollar General Monday with his 2009 Nissan Rogue, city police said. Both vehicles had minor scratches, police said.

Parking lot collision

LOCK HAVEN-Stephen Kinley of Mill Hall allegedly backed into Doniva Laubach's 2008 Subaru Forester while she was parked in the Save A Lot parking lot with his 1996 Plymouth van Monday, city police said. Kinley said he hit the curb, not her car, but police didn't see any evidence of such, police said. The Forester sustained a dent in its bumper, and the van had minor scratches, police said.

Assault

LOCK HAVEN-Karl Brian Laws, 47, of 316 Bridge St., Williamsport, allegedly punched someone in the mouth several times with a closed fist at 361 E. Park St. Monday, city police said. Laws was taken into custody with $5,000 unsecured bail, police said.

Trespass, public drunkenness

LOCK HAVEN-Brian Patrick Leavy, 31, of 367 W. Pauline Drive, Clearfield, was arrested for attempted criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, and public drunkenness on June 17, city police said. Police found him pounding on the door of 220 W. Clinton St., yelling; once he was taken into custody, he was found to be highly intoxicated and was taken into custody with $5,000 bail, police said.
