Helen Hazel Nighthart, 85, a resident of the Susque-View Home, Lock Haven, passed away June 18, 2012 at the residence. She was born in Lock Haven, April 12, 1927 to the late Charles and Olive Carson Eichenlaub.
Helen had eloped with the love her life, William (Bill) Hazel, in June 1947. They were together for almost 40 years until Bill passed away in 1987. They raised two daughters who survive, Diane (Dewayne) Shaffer of Lock Haven, and Darlene (Mark) Weaver, also of Lock Haven.
Helen and Bill had enjoyed country music, camping and spending time with their family. Helen later married Harold (Abe) Nighthart in 1994. He passed away in November 2011.

She enjoyed dancing, going to auctions, yard sales and antique shows. She loved collecting antique dolls and decorating her home with antiques.
Helen spent a lot of time with her family, spoiling her grandchildren who survive, Dana (Matthew) Knoster of Lebanon, Nicole (Ryan) Monoski of Lock Haven and Mark Weaver of Lock Haven. She is also blessed with two great- grandsons, Matthew Knoster and James William Monoski.
She is survived by two sisters, Joanne (James) Grenninger and Marylou (Glen) Young, and one brother Ray (Irene) Eichenlaub.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry Eichenlaub, Eugene Eichenlaub, Charles Eichenlaub and Arthur Anstadt, and one sister Grace Probst.
Graveside funeral services for Helen Hazel Nighthart will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the Rest Haven Memorial Park. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Officiating will be Pastor Bruce Wallace of the East Main Street United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Infant Development Program, 980 East Water Street, Lock Haven, Pa. 17745.
