LOCK HAVEN - The 40 & 8 Club offers a Porkfest at its picnic grounds along the Renovo Road near here, Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
The public can buy an all-you-can-eat meal featuring pulled pork sandwiches, hot sausage sandwiches, salads and drinks. Diners must be over 21.
Horseshoes, poker and games of chance also will be available. Cash prizes will be given away, with a $500 grand prize. Those attending also may buy tickets to win a four-burner stainless steel gas grill.
To reach the picnic grounds, head north on Route 120 and a few miles past Hanna Park, look for the "Locy" train engine.
The 40 & 8 is a veterans organization that supports community programs including disabled veterans, child welfare, Clinton County Special Olympics and nursing scholarships.
