James Dukelow

James "Jim" Dukelow, Jr., 82, of Mill Hall, formerly from Charlotte, N.C., died on Friday, June 29, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Castile, N.Y. on Sept. 29, 1929 and was the son of the late James and Lillian (Romasser) Dukelow.

Jim married Carol A. (Shaver) on Nov. 8, 1974, and they have celebrated almost 38 years of marriage.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Jim worked as a machinist for most of his life, and retired in 1992.

He enjoyed piloting and riding his Gold Wing motorcycle, as well as working with wood. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Monroe, N.C.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Shirley and Keith Stein of Mill Hall, and Rosemary and David Schaub of York, N.Y.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one sister, Adelaide Robbins of Cumberland, Md.; one sister-in-law, Bonnie and her husband George Pettinger of Deland, Fla.; and Jim's first wife; Esther Chichester of Leicester, N.Y. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alton Dukelow.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date at the convenience of the family.
