Donald H. Vonada, 82, of 2828 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven, died Monday July 2, 2012 at the Gatehouse Hospice.
He was born in Howard on April 15, 1930, the son of the late Hubert and Clara Butler Vonada.
In April of 1950 he married the former Donna G. Connor, who survives in Lock Haven.

Don was a 1948 graduate of Howard High School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Lock Haven University until his retirement in 1995.
He was a member of the Castanea Fire Hall and enjoyed hunting as well as helping other people.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Amy L. (Clever) Daihl of Middletown and Trudy M. Rinehart of Mill Hall; a sister, Beverly McGill of Salona; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington with Rev. Nancy Kuhns officiating. Friends and family will be received Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
