Thanks for publishing two significant commentaries: July 3 by Erika Staaf, "Budget a mixed bag on the environment," and July 4 by Rep. Jesse White, "Selective drilling ban exposes hypocrisy in Pa. energy policy."
Each article alerted Pennsylvanians to the "Bucks Backroom Deal," which slipped into SB 1263 "at the eleventh hour." They provide solid reasons to become informed and to repeal Act 13 which eliminated local zoning of gas drilling operations and SB 1263 which gave special exemption privilege to Bucks and Montgomery counties.
Strange, on this Fourth of July celebration of our freedoms and supposed equality, to be reminded that our current Pennsylvania Republican Act controlled administration is both taking away local control and further creating an unequal citizenry.
