Intersection crash

LOCK HAVEN-A Philipsburg man allegedly crashed into a Lock Haven woman's vehicle Monday when he allegedly ran a red light, city police said. Harry Brown Townsend was driving on Bellefonte Avenue and said he couldn't tell what color the traffic light was; he told police he assumed it was red because he saw traffic from Second Avenue entering the intersection, police said. He told police he was unable to stop, however, and his 2006 Ford Focus crashed into Jane Louise Whitman's 1999 Ford Expedition, police said.

Whitman told police she was on Second Avenue at the red traffic light, and when it turned green, she pulled out and was struck by Townsend's vehicle, police said. Townsend was charged for a red light violation, police said.

Another window smashed

LOCK HAVEN-A thrown rock smashed a window at 5 W. Main St. on July 8 between 5:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m., city police said. Anyone with information, contact LHPD.

Lost wallet

LOCK HAVEN-Someone lost her wallet over the weekend either at the A Plus or North Hampton Street near the Laundromat, city police said. The Wristlet is tan vinyl with her driver's license and credit cards within; if found, please contact LHPD.

Tires slashed

CASTANEA-Two unknown actors allegedly slashed the driver's side tires on Tami Irvin's vehicle on Grape Street July 8, state police at Lamar said. They also threw a rock from her driveway at a first-floor window, breaking its first pane, police said. The actors fled the scene toward Lock Haven in a maroon sport utility vehicle, police said.

Alleged theft at K-Mart

MILL HALL-Two locals allegedly attempted to steal from K-Mart July 3, state police at Lamar said.

Josey Nicole Gerholt, 20, of Lock Haven, and Jennifer Ann Allen, 22, of Mill Hall, were both charged with retail theft, police said.

Car scratched

BELLEFONTE-Unknown actor(s) damaged a 2002 Buick Century on the 2100 block of Old 220 Road by scratching the paint along the driver's side and rear bumper when it was parked in front of the residence on July 9 or 10, state police at Rockview said. Estimated damage is $400; anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Rockview at (814) 355-7545.

Alleged physical altercation

MILL HALL-During an argument, Shelly Allen, 49, of Mill Hall, allegedly slapped Peter O'Donnel, 21, of Lock Haven July 9; a charge of harassment will be filed, state police at Lamar said.

Rx drugs allegedly stolen

LOGANTON-Over $2,000 worth of prescription medication was allegedly stolen from Joseph Brumgard of East Valley Road sometime between July 7 and 9, state police at Lamar said. The bottle containing 208 pink Hydrocodone 10-milligram pills was allegedly stolen from beneath his mattress, police said.

Theft from vehicle

LOCK HAVEN-Someone stole $149 from an unlocked 1997 Saturn at 129 Woodward Ave., Lot 40, overnight Monday, Woodward Township police said. The police remind residents to remove all valuables from their vehicles and lock up when leaving it unattended.
